This workshop has a focus on portraits, bridals, and engagements.

Fisher Towers

A styled session with the towering gorgeous Fisher Towers in the background.

2-3 sets of models to rotate through with hands-on help and tips from The Light Seeker.

Dead Horse State Park

A styled session that will extend into blue hour with lanterns and lighting techniques. Bring a tripod!

Workshop Schedule

Day 1

Friday, October 18th
6:30pm
Welcome and Dinner

Kick off the workshop with introductios, provided dinner, and an overview of the upcoming day.

You bring: cozy clothes, something for note taking and camp chair if wanted.

7:30pm
Welcome and Dinner

While munching on s’mores, watch and engage with a projector presentation on several topics voted on by the attending photographers including posing, location utilization, and more.

Day 2

Saturday, October 19th
7:15am
Sunrise Session and breakfast

Awaken your creativity with our sunrise session and experience the inspiration of dawn as the first light drenches the rugged terrain. This session is designed to ignite your passion for photography while providing expert guidance to enhance your skills. And of course, breakfast! Which will be provided =)

You bring: Your camera (duh), jacket, inspiration!

9:00-1:30pm
Free time

That was so early but so worth it! Take this time to go shower, nap, edit some images, dip into Arches National Park, charge batteries, go souvenir shopping, and grab a bite for lunch!

Portfolio Reviews and Presentation/Learning

Enjoy snacks and drinks with fellow photographers, sharing stories and ideas that spark inspiration. We will take this time to edit together, talking about marketing or other topics, and ask questions as we explore techniques that enhance your images and take you to the next level. 

Sit one-on-one for a portfolio review with The Light Seeker (don’t worry, I am nice!)

Leave to drive to sunset session

Let’s pack up! 45 minute drive to the grand finale session location.

Epic sunset session

Time for an unforgettable sunset session with rotating models and stunning night photography opportunities!

You bring: Your camera (trust me, I’ve left mine behind too), along with any gear you might need for capturing the magic after dark like a tripod, lanterns, flash, video light, and of course, a comfy camp chair.

7:00pm
Blue hour session

Time to play with blue hour! We will have the mesmerizing glow of an almost full moon, twinkling stars, stunning models, and the warm ambiance of lanterns while honing your skills with low lighting photography.

8:00pm
Editing Presentation and Dinner

We’ve captured some stunning images, and now it’s time to dive into the editing process, learning techniques from The Light Seeker, a nationally recognized expert in photo editing. Edit and ask questions live.

Dinner will be provided!

9:00PM ish
Closing ceremony

We will either be dead tired, or all wound up from the excitement of shooting, or probably both. We will end by showcasing our top 5 images and award prizes to some truly inspiring images!

Editing walkthroughs and presentations

Eat good food and listen to presentations catered to what YOU want to learn, including editing tutorials both from past sessions and from the sessions we do during the moab experience! Edit side by side with other creatives, and ask questions live with the award-winning and globally recognized Light Seeker.

Workshop Payment Information

  • Your seat is officially reserved once payment is in. If you need to break it into smaller payments please let me know and we can set up a schedule for you.
  • Venmo, paypal, and card are accepted.
  • No refunds will be given once payment is in, though it may be used towards a future experience with The Light Seeker.
  • Lodging and transportation are not provided, but you may try to coordinate with other photographers if you want to rideshare etc.
